Philesha Chandler Dances With Horses

Equestrian Outreach, an organization dedicated to the promotion of safe and informed equestrianism. At Equestrian Outreach, we are helping horses to help humans. We have marked our progress one student and one web page at a time. For the first time since Equestrian Outreach was started we have an opportunity to do something truly wonderful and touch more lives than ever before. Equestrian Outreach is proud to introduce to our community, a story teller, a horse dancer and a truly motivated role model for our children; Philesha Chandler.

For almost one year we have been working to bring Philesha Chandler to our Lake Helen Equestrian Arena. Philesha is an internationally known rising Dressage star, protégée to Robert Dover and U.S. Olympic Dressage hopeful. She is bringing with her a mixed bag of gifts, a wonderful ability to tell her inspiring story and her considerable riding skills to introduce our Central Florida Kids to the exhilarating dance/ballet between humans and horses 

Philesha Chandler is as close to a perfect role model as I have ever met. She is the real thing; she is using her own money to fly her and her role model, her grandmother from Wichita, Kansas, to Central Florida for the weekend of the 22 of October. Why? So she can speak to little kids and to tell them what life choices a disadvantaged person from Tampa has made to become a successful Olympic dressage hopeful, while dancing with horses for them. This is a timely message for every one of all ages in such trying and uncertain times. 

We also wish to thank Jean Thornton at Equivale for the use of her champion Grand Prix purebred Lipizzan stallion Conversano II Aloha II, with over 28 USDF National Championships through Grand Prix, he is truly the perfect horse for Philesha to use.

Central Florida Equestrians Now Have An Opportunity To Receive Riding Instruction and Training Insight From Grand Prix Dressage Sensation Philesha Chandler
October 22 and 23

Philesha Chandler is the head riding instructor and trainer at Chandler Dressage Inc. She has been riding since the age of 8 and with a passion for dressage and for helping people, Philesha’s goal is for Chandler Dressage to provide quality training, lessons and dressage horses to the dressage world.
 
Many people recognize her as the winner of Robert Dover's reality TV show, "The Search for America's Next Equestrian Star: Dressage". With winning the show, she also won the opportunity to be Robert Dover's assistant trainer for a year, which she enjoyed and learned much during this experience. After her internship with Robert, she was offered an assistant trainer position from Arlene "Tuny" Page at Stillpoint Farm, a focal point for top riders through out dressage. This was a perfect appointment for Philesha as it allowed her to continue her instruction with some of the top dressage instructors. Time spent at Stillpoint Farm helped her to refine and flourish as a dressage rider, instructor and trainer. During her time in Florida, she also worked as a flat rider for Show Jumper, Kent Farrington.

As her reputation as a talented rider grew, Philesha has been offered the opportunities to work with a host of highly respected International riders, instructors and trainers such as; Oded Shimoni, Lisa Wilcox, Minna Telde, Conrad Schumacher, Dorothy "Dottie" Morkis. Philesha's goal is for Chandler Dressage to provide quality training, lessons and dressage horses to the dressage world.

Philesha, will be in the Central Florida area for the weekend of October 22, 2011 while working with Equestrian Outreach and Central Florida Kids in “Philesha Chandler Dances With Horses”. This will be on Saturday, October 22 starting at 10:30 AM she will demonstrate Grand Prix level freestyle dressage at the Lake Helen Equestrian Center There will be no charge for this event. On Sunday October 23rd starting at 10:00 am, she will be conducting a riding clinic for interested equestrians. The fee for this event will be $50.00 per applicant. Proceeds from this clinic will go to establish a college scholarship fund, in her name, for worthy Equestrian Outreach students.
